Vat Dip/Cabinet Washing Compound
General Description
SPEC STRIP-58C is a free-flowing, moderate alkalinity, non-volatile crystalline powder specially formulated with corrosion inhibiting properties to prevent metal attack when used in low to moderate cabinet pressure units. SPEC STRIP-58C will effectively remove grease, light carbon, loose paint and oily dirt from ferrous metal, copper, brass and stainless steel without damaging the metal surface. SPEC STRIP-58C contains “alkaline boosters” to help remove those soils that normally would need heavy caustic solutions to effectively clean. Special care should be taken when using this product with aluminum parts as they may be damaged by this product.
SPEC STRIP-58C is non-fuming in dry or solution form. No corrosive gases form in storage or during application. Normal care should be used when handling any cleaning solutions.
Application
SPEC STRIP-58C is diluted in water in closed system, recirculating parts washers from 16-24 ounces per gallon of water. Higher concentrations maybe needed for extremely soiled engine heads, oil pans or pistons. Pre-washing with a 5% solution of SPEC STRIP-58C will extend the life of the washer liquid.

SPEC STRIP-58C is available in UN approved 450 pound drums and 50 pound pails.
