RP-606 is an dark colored, high melting point, resilient coating designed to provide long term protection of metal surfaces. RP-606 is applied as a solution in a volatile solvent. The residual film, after solvent evaporation, is highly resistant to salt water and salt spray. RP-606 is supplied predispersed in mineral spirits to simplify handling and application of the product.

Application
RP-606 can be applied by dipping the parts to be protected in a vat or spraying the parts to be protected with air sprayers, pump type sprayers or by pouring the product over the parts. Removal of protective films is accomplished by using a steam cleaner or washing the parts in mineral spirits.

Various blends of RP-606 meet or exceed the following MIL-SPECS: MIL-C-83933, MIL-C-0083933A (MR), MIL-C-16173E, Grade 4, Mil-C 11796 class 3, Class I, MIL-C-62218 (AT).
